ERASMUS+ is a European Union funded programme coordinated by the European Commission, designed to promote the mobility of students, lecturers, and youth, international cooperation, and the improvement of education quality across Europe. Vilniaus College of Design provides students with broad opportunities to participate in the international ERASMUS+ mobility programme.
Erasmus Study Mobility
Erasmus+ study mobility for VDK students is an opportunity not only to go abroad, but also to become part of the international design community, gain valuable academic experience, and prepare for a successful career in creative industries.

Selection Process and Deadlines
Selections take place twice a year:
Students must submit an application form, motivation letter, and portfolio.
Language requirement: minimum B2 level in the language of instruction (English or other).

Zero-Grant Study Mobility
Students may also participate with zero-grant status, meaning they meet all Erasmus+ requirements and benefit from all programme rights, but do not receive financial support. All Erasmus+ rules and obligations apply equally to zero-grant participants.
Post-Mobility Reporting
Within 30 days after returning from Erasmus+ studies abroad, students must submit the required documents to the VDK International Relations Office.
BIP Projects (Short-Term Study Mobility)
BIP (Blended Intensive Programmes) are short-term Erasmus+ mobility activities combining physical activity abroad with a virtual (online) component. These are intensive thematic projects where students work in international teams. Both students and staff can participate.
Erasmus Internship Opportunities (Professional)
VDK students have the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ internship mobility, gaining international work experience and expanding career opportunities abroad.
Erasmus Graduate Internship Opportunities
Graduate internship selection is announced in April. This is available for 3rd year full-time and 4th year part-time students planning to do an internship abroad after graduation. The internship must be completed within 12 months of graduation and can last 2–4 months.

Erasmus Opportunities for Lecturers and Staff
VDK lecturers and administrative staff can participate in the ERASMUS+ mobility programme, which offers opportunities for teaching and training at partner institutions across Europe and beyond.

Actions After Receiving Funding
At least one month before departure, submit: mobility agreement, travel information, and signed grant agreement to erasmus@dizainokolegija.lt
