At Vilnius College of Design, research is not seen as a separate academic activity, but as a living creative process where design, creativity and technology intersect.

It is a space to question established practices, experiment with new materials, tools and methods, and explore solutions that respond to the realities of contemporary life.

Visual research, material and technology experimentation, and social design initiatives at VCD become a way to expand the understanding of creativity — exploring its tools, its impact, and its role in shaping a more conscious and sustainable future.

International partnerships

in science research

Vilnius College of Design implements international applied research initiatives developed in cooperation with academic and industry partners. Research activities are based on shared expertise, complementary competencies, and joint project development.

VCD welcomes collaboration with researchers whose work aligns with the College’s research areas and who are interested in developing applied research and experimental development activities within international project frameworks.

VCD supports the development of research initiatives by forming consortia and preparing nationally and internationally funded research projects, working in close cooperation with partner institutions and researchers.

VCD provides institutional, administrative, and coordination support throughout the entire research cycle. This structure enables research activities to be carried out in a stable and supportive research environment.
