Application process and deadlines
International students who wish to study at Vilnius College of Design (VDK) through the Erasmus+ programme must first be nominated by their home institution. After nomination, students receive detailed application instructions from the VDK International Office.
Nomination and application periods
Autumn semester: nomination period – March till mid-May; application deadline – end of May.
Spring semester: nomination period – October till mid-November; application deadline – end of November.
Required application documents
To complete the Erasmus+ application, incoming students are required to submit the following documents:
- Application form;
- Portfolio;
- Transcript of Records;
- Motivation letter;
- English proficiency certificate / statement (minimum recommended level – B2 or equivalent).
Before arriving (once the student has been accepted)
Learning Agreement (OLA).
During the mobility at VDK
- Arrival certificate;
- Learning Agreement – if changes were made.
After the mobility you will receive
- Certificate of Attendance;
- Transcript of Records.

VDK does not provide dormitories or any other accommodation services – students must arrange housing independently. Please find below some useful accommodation links and discounts:

VDK is located in Naujamiestis, a central and convenient area. Address: Kauno g. 34, Vilnius. Campus: II floor (LOFT).

Health & Insurance
- EU students: bring EHIC (additional insurance recommended);
- Non-EU students: private health insurance required.

Vilnius offers several transport options:
- buses & trolleybuses (main public transport);
- student discount with ISIC: ~80% (≈ €7/month);
- mobile apps: m.Ticket, Trafi;
- e-scooters & bike sharing (e.g. Bolt, Cyclocity) widely available across the city.
