Open Lecture

Next Wednesday, September 23, we’re excited to welcome Amber Case - an internationally recognized technology design expert, speaker, author, and founder of The Calm Tech Institute. Through her work, Amber Case explores one of today’s most relevant questions: how can we design technology that helps people rather than constantly competing for their attention?

She is the author of four books, including Calm Technology and A Kids Book About Technology. Amber has been a fellow at the MIT Center for Civic Media and the Harvard Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, became a Mozilla Fellow in 2021, and was named one of National Geographic Emerging Explorers in 2012.

The lecture is intended for design, IT and technology students, creatives, digital product creators, and anyone interested in human-technology interaction, contemporary design, and its future.
