Vilnius College of Design researcher Milda Kuraitytė took part in the international ATypI panel “Industry Classification and its Educational Echo. Searchability and sense-making”, held at Stanford University.

The panel explored how type classification is shaped today by the design industry, digital platforms, search systems and education. The discussion focused on how classification principles influence typeface searchability, perception, user choices and the learning process of future designers.

Milda Kuraitytė represented the research and educational perspective of Vilnius College of Design. She joined an international panel of academic and industry professionals, including representatives from Google Fonts, Monotype, Font Bureau and other leading organisations in the field.

VCD’s participation in this event strengthens the college’s visibility in the international design, typography and education landscape and contributes to an important discussion on how changes in the type industry influence design education and professional practice.
