Admission Requirements for Applicants from Türkiye
Vilnius College of Design welcomes applications from Türkiye. Please read the requirements below carefully before applying. Applications that do not meet all of the minimum requirements will not be considered.
- Our Study Programmes
Vilnius College of Design offers 8 technology programmes and 5 design programmes only. See all study programmes
We do not offer business programmes.
If you are looking to study business, management, marketing or a similar field, our college is not the right fit for you. - Technology Programmes
To apply for any of our technology programmes, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Completed 12-year general secondary education (Lise Diploması) with a minimum diploma grade (diploma notu) of 70 (out of 100).
- Results of the national university entrance examination YKS administered by ÖSYM, with at least one YKS score of 160 or higher.
- Mathematics through the AYT session: you must have a SAY (numerical) exam score (sınav puanı) of 200 or higher.
Only the exam score (sınav puanı) is considered. The placement score (yerleştirme puanı) is not used, because it includes your school diploma grade (OBP). Only ÖSYM examination results are considered for the Mathematics requirement. Lise transcript grades in Mathematics or Information Technologies do not replace the AYT / SAY result, and the TYT Basic Mathematics test alone is not sufficient.
Applicants who took only TYT, or whose YKS results are in the EA, SÖZ or DİL score types only, are not eligible for technology programmes, regardless of their scores.
In line with the recommendations of the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), the school-leaving certificate alone does not give access to higher education in your country – this right is obtained only by passing the national entrance examination. Therefore, applicants without valid national examination results are not eligible, regardless of their school grades.
IT aptitude test and motivational interview.
All applicants to our technology programmes also take the Vilnius College of Design IT aptitude test and a motivational interview. The test is taken online and consists of multiple-choice questions. It does not assess knowledge of IT or programming, and no prior IT studies are required: it assesses logical thinking, problem-solving, pattern recognition and attention to detail. Questions include number and pattern sequences, simple logic and word problems, basic calculations (for example, fractions and percentages), directions, coordinates and clock angles, and visual and spatial reasoning (for example, shapes and cube nets). The questions are based on general logic and school-level mathematics, so no special preparation is required. - Design Programmes
Admission to design programmes requires a portfolio.
Each application is evaluated individually, based on the portfolio and the criteria described under “Admission requirements” under each of your chosen programs,
for example Graphic Design - English Language Requirements

Legalisation and Translation of Educational Documents

Documents issued in a language other than English or Lithuanian must be accompanied by an official translation into English or Lithuanian. A translation is considered official when it is bound to a certified copy of the original document and attested by the translator’s signature.
- Gap Since Previous Studies
- Secondary education (Lise Diploması): no more than 7 years may have passed since you completed your secondary education.
- Higher or post-secondary education: if you have studied after secondary school, no more than 5 years may have passed since you completed or left those studies.
- Applicants must be no older than 35 years at the time of application.
Applicants with a longer gap are not eligible to apply.
- Residence Permit: Police Clearance Certificate
Applicants who require a Lithuanian temporary residence permit must also be prepared to submit a criminal record / police clearance certificate from every country in which they have lived for more than 6 months during the previous 2 years. The certificate must normally be issued no earlier than 6 months before the residence permit application and, where required, must be legalised or apostilled.
This certificate is not part of the academic admission assessment. It is required by the Migration Department of the Republic of Lithuania for the residence permit application.

At the time of application, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your studies plus at least 6 months after graduation.
For example, if you start your studies in September 2027 and graduate in September 2030, your passport must be valid until at least March 2031.
