Admission Requirements for Applicants from Kosovo
Vilnius College of Design welcomes applications from Kosovo. Please read the requirements below carefully before applying. Applications that do not meet all of the minimum requirements will not be considered.
- Our Study Programmes
Vilnius College of Design offers 8 technology programmes and 5 design programmes only. See all study programmes
We do not offer business programmes.
If you are looking to study business, management, marketing or a similar field, our college is not the right fit for you. - Technology Programmes
To apply for any of our technology programmes, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Completed upper secondary education (Diplomë e shkollës së mesme të lartë) and passed the State Matura examination (Testi i Maturës Shtetërore).
- Minimum overall average of 3.5 (out of 5) in your upper secondary school diploma.
- Mathematics in the State Matura: at least 60% of the available points in the Mathematics part of the examination.
Mathematics is a compulsory part of the State Matura. Only the result of the Mathematics part is considered for the Mathematics requirement; school grades in Mathematics or Informatics do not replace it.Applicants from vocational schools are eligible only if their programme was in a technical, engineering or IT field and they meet the requirements above.
The Kosovo upper secondary diploma and State Matura is not covered by the SKVC general recommendations for the recognition of foreign qualifications. Each application is therefore assessed individually and, where necessary, Vilnius College of Design requests an individual recommendation from SKVC; the final decision follows that recommendation.
IT aptitude test and motivational interview.
All applicants to our technology programmes also take the Vilnius College of Design IT aptitude test and a motivational interview. The test is taken online and consists of multiple-choice questions. It does not assess knowledge of IT or programming, and no prior IT studies are required: it assesses logical thinking, problem-solving, pattern recognition and attention to detail. Questions include number and pattern sequences, simple logic and word problems, basic calculations (for example, fractions and percentages), directions, coordinates and clock angles, and visual and spatial reasoning (for example, shapes and cube nets). The questions are based on general logic and school-level mathematics, so no special preparation is required. - Design Programmes
Admission to design programmes requires a portfolio.
Each application is evaluated individually, based on the portfolio and the criteria described under “Admission requirements” under each of your chosen programs,
