Admission Requirements for Applicants from Egypt
Vilnius College of Design welcomes applications from Egypt. Please read the requirements below carefully before applying. Applications that do not meet all of the minimum requirements will not be considered.
- Our Study Programmes
Vilnius College of Design offers 8 technology programmes and 5 design programmes only. See all study programmes
We do not offer business programmes.
If you are looking to study business, management, marketing or a similar field, our college is not the right fit for you. - Technology Programmes
To apply for any of our technology programmes, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Completed General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanaweya Amma) in the Science – Mathematics stream (علمي رياضة).
- Minimum total score of 70% of the maximum (for example, 224 out of 320 in the current system).
- Mathematics: at least 70% of the maximum subject score (for example, 42 out of 60 in the current system).
Applicants from the Science – Science stream (علمي علوم), whose final examinations do not include Mathematics, and applicants from the Literary stream (أدبي, where Statistics replaces Mathematics) are not eligible for technology programmes, regardless of their grades. Computer / programming courses that do not count towards the final total do not replace Mathematics.
Al-Azhar secondary certificates, technical secondary diplomas and the new Egyptian Baccalaureate are assessed individually, subject to SKVC (Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education) recommendation.
IT aptitude test and motivational interview.
All applicants to our technology programmes also take the Vilnius College of Design IT aptitude test and a motivational interview. The test is taken online and consists of multiple-choice questions. It does not assess knowledge of IT or programming, and no prior IT studies are required: it assesses logical thinking, problem-solving, pattern recognition and attention to detail. Questions include number and pattern sequences, simple logic and word problems, basic calculations (for example, fractions and percentages), directions, coordinates and clock angles, and visual and spatial reasoning (for example, shapes and cube nets). The questions are based on general logic and school-level mathematics, so no special preparation is required. - Design Programmes
Admission to design programmes requires a portfolio.
Each application is evaluated individually, based on the portfolio and the criteria described under “Admission requirements” under each of your chosen programs,
