Admission Requirements for Applicants from Azerbaijan
Vilnius College of Design welcomes applications from Azerbaijan. Please read the requirements below carefully before applying. Applications that do not meet all of the minimum requirements will not be considered.
- Our Study Programmes
Vilnius College of Design offers 8 technology programmes and 5 design programmes only. See all study programmes
We do not offer business programmes.
If you are looking to study business, management, marketing or a similar field, our college is not the right fit for you. - Technology Programmes
To apply for any of our technology programmes, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Completed general secondary education (Orta təhsil haqqında attestat, 11 years).
- Official results of the State Examination Center (DİM) university admission examination in Specialisation Group I (RK or Rİ subgroup).
- Minimum total score of 300 (out of 700; both stages combined).
- Mathematics or Informatics in the second stage of the DİM examination, with at least one of the following:
- Mathematics: at least 90 out of 150; or
- Informatics (Rİ subgroup): at least 60 out of 100.
Only the results of the national DİM examination are considered. Attestat (school) grades and school final examination grades do not count towards the Mathematics / Informatics requirement.
Applicants who took the examination in Specialisation Groups II, III or IV are not eligible for technology programmes, regardless of their scores.
In line with the recommendations of the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), the school-leaving certificate alone does not give access to higher education in your country – this right is obtained only by passing the national entrance examination. Therefore, applicants without valid national examination results are not eligible, regardless of their school grades.
IT aptitude test and motivational interview. All applicants to our technology programmes also take the Vilnius College of Design IT aptitude test and a motivational interview. The test is taken online and consists of multiple-choice questions. It does not assess knowledge of IT or programming, and no prior IT studies are required: it assesses logical thinking, problem-solving, pattern recognition and attention to detail. Questions include number and pattern sequences, simple logic and word problems, basic calculations (for example, fractions and percentages), directions, coordinates and clock angles, and visual and spatial reasoning (for example, shapes and cube nets). The questions are based on general logic and school-level mathematics, so no special preparation is required.

Each application is evaluated individually, based on the portfolio and the criteria described under “Admission requirements” under each of your chosen programs,
