VCD Open Lecture: Oobah Butler

How to Create a Sensation?

Oobah Butler faked a restaurant and turned it into London’s number one. He wrote a bestselling book about how lies, boldness, and irony can become tools for success. Now, he’s coming to Vilnius to open the Vilnius College of Design’s lecture series.

Butler is a British writer, filmmaker, and journalist whose stories for Vice became legendary. His experiments - from fake restaurants to parodies of influencers - constantly challenge what we truly believe online. Some burst out laughing, others get angry, but no one remains indifferent.

His film The Great Amazon Heist and bestselling book How to Bullsht Your Way to Number 1 have proved that Oobah isn’t afraid to poke fun at all of us - himself included.

This lecture is a rare opportunity to hear from a creator who will provoke, inspire, and make you rethink where reality ends and creativity begins.

Come and discover how to turn the rules upside down and start a revolution.
