The Software Testing specialisation is oriented towards preparing quality assurance specialists capable of systematically testing software and ensuring its reliability. During studies, students gain practical skills working with manual and automated testing tools, API testing platforms, and performance testing solutions.
Great emphasis is placed on test automation, CI/CD integration, security testing, and testing strategy development. The specialisation prepares specialists who can work as QA engineers, test automation specialists, and quality managers.

Dr. Gediminas Gricius is an information technology specialist, academic and researcher whose VCD technology direction is linked to information technologies, embedded systems programming and a systems-based view of digital solution development.
The software testing direction focuses on ensuring that systems work reliably, accurately and clearly. Students learn to understand the causes of errors, test software performance, evaluate results and apply quality assurance principles.
This direction helps students understand that a digital product is not only written code – it must also be tested, stable and suitable for real-world use.
About the Programme
Programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, project management, professional ethics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and final thesis.
Testing modules cover manual and automated testing methods, API testing, performance testing, security testing, mobile application testing, CI/CD integration, test documentation, and testing strategy management. Students learn to create test plans, automate tests, and ensure software quality.
Software Testing is a specialization within the Smart Technology Industry study programme. Admission is carried out through LAMA BPO or directly at Vilnius Design College. Applicants must have completed secondary education.
Full-time studies – EUR 1,539 per semester.
Graduates of the Software Testing specialization can work as software testers, QA specialists, automated testing specialists, and testing analysts. They can also create, carry out, and maintain software testing processes and ensure the quality of developed systems.
