Software Systems Development specialisation
The Software Systems Development specialisation is oriented towards preparing software engineers capable of designing and building complex, scalable software systems. During studies, students gain practical skills working with object-oriented programming, database design, web system technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
Great emphasis is placed on software architecture, microservices, design patterns, testing, and DevOps practices. The specialisation prepares specialists who can work as software architects, senior developers, and technical team leads.

About the Programme
1 General Smart Technology Industry Bachelor programme subjects
Programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, project management, professional ethics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and final thesis.
2 Software Systems Development specialisation subjects
Software systems modules cover object-oriented programming, database design, web systems development, software architecture, design patterns, microservices architecture, software testing, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices. Students learn to design and build reliable systems — from monolithic applications to distributed microservices.
Software Systems Development is a specialization within the Smart Technology Industry study programme. Admission is carried out through LAMA BPO or directly at Vilnius Design College. Applicants must have completed secondary education.
Full-time studies – EUR 1,539 per semester
Graduates of the Software Systems Development specialization can work as programmers, software developers, software systems specialists, and application developers. They can also create, implement, test, and maintain software and information systems.
