Artificial Intelligence specialisation

The Artificial Intelligence specialisation is oriented towards the creation and application of advanced data-driven solutions across various sectors. During studies, students gain practical skills working with machine learning methods, neural networks, and natural language processing solutions. Great emphasis is placed on integrating artificial intelligence into real systems and processes, applying programming, analytics, and cloud solutions. The specialisation prepares specialists who can work both in creating AI solutions and in deploying and maintaining them in organisations.

Programme Leader

Mantas Sviklas
Mantas Sviklas

Mantas Sviklas is a specialist in technology implementation, process thinking and applied artificial intelligence. He approaches AI not as a stand-alone tool, but as a new layer of how organisations create value. His experience with IT teams, Agile environments, digital transformation and automation projects allows the AI programme to be grounded in real implementation logic: from problem framing and value hypotheses to prototyping, integration and responsible use.

In the Artificial Intelligence programme, the focus is not on isolated tools, but on understanding where AI can create meaningful value. Students explore the logic of generative AI, data-driven solutions, automated workflows and human-AI interaction, while learning to evaluate reliability, risk, ethical implications and the impact of AI on products and organisations.

Under Mantas’s leadership, the AI direction develops specialists who combine technological curiosity with critical thinking. This is a programme for students who want not only to use AI, but to understand its limits and possibilities and turn AI solutions into tangible value for people, teams and business.

About the Programme

1 General Smart Technology Industry Bachelor programme subjects

Programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, project management, professional ethics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and final thesis.

2 Artificial Intelligence specialisation subjects

AI modules cover machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, data visualisation, cloud computing, AI ethics and regulation, and AI project management. Students learn to create and deploy advanced AI solutions — from data preparation to model deployment in production.

Artificial Intelligence is a specialization within the Smart Technology Industry study programme. Admission is carried out directly at Vilnius College of Design. Applicants must have completed secondary education (high-school diploma). More information: https://www.vcd.lt/en/admission

Full-time studies – EUR 5,500 per year.

Graduates of the Artificial Intelligence specialization can work as artificial intelligence developers, machine learning specialists, data analysis specialists, and AI solutions developers. They can also create and apply machine learning, neural network, and natural language processing solutions in various organizations.
